An interweaving tale of 3 characters as they navigate various struggles dealing with health, loss, dreams, and unfulfillment. Lu Bai Cheng is a bartender who comes home nightly to his mentally ailing wife and two children. Across town, Bai Rong, a music teacher and wife to a wealthy businessman, is searching for answers to her amenorrhoea. Bai Rong's father-in-law, a retired soldier, is facing his own difficulties as well - needing a full-time caregiver after the death of his wife.

After learning her job is on the line, Eden returns to Lake Tahoe where she used to spend her summers growing up. There she’s reunited with her childhood friend Riley and finds that the draw of her past might direct her future to a happiness she’s been missing in her life.

KIM serves as a professor of film studies at a rural college, away from his family. It is in this setting that he struggles to discover the nature of his identity. A middle school science teacher, Young-hee, although a long-time lover of KIM's is not confident in their future relationship. She asks KIM to accompany her to her childhood hometown. During the trip, the two begin to realize that each belongs to different realities from the other. Young-hee begins to desire a relationship of a different sort with him. However, KIM's ambition is to redeem his own artistic value blurred between film fantasy and reality.
